The Dee Valley golf society was formed in 1995, by John Williams and Malcolm Smith.

The first organised event was the Vitruvious Wyatt Vase challenge - this was won by Ian Davies.

The aim of the society is to hold several golfing challenges between April and September.

There are currently six trophies 'up for grabs' with the main attraction being the Captains Cup.

There is also an award for the most improved player during the year.
